One mill. Since 1931.
Every Paqari throw is woven at a family cooperative in Arequipa, a city in the southern Peruvian Andes. It is the same mill that wove alpaca for the first generation of Peruvian exports nearly a century ago.
We work only with the first shearing — the softest fleece an alpaca produces in its lifetime — from animals that graze at 14,000 feet. Nothing is blended. Nothing is dyed when the natural color will do.
