Guia AI is a GPS-triggered audio tour guide. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do not do with it.
What we collect
Location data. Guia AI uses your device's location to detect when you are near a landmark and trigger an audio narration. We access your location only while the app is open and in the foreground. We do not request background location access. We do not store your precise location on our servers. We do not share location data with any third party.
Account data. When you create an account (via Apple Sign-In or email), we store your email address and a user ID. This is required to save your conversation history and purchase status.
Conversation history. The questions you ask our AI guides and their responses are stored on our servers so you can refer back to them. This data is linked to your user ID, not shared with third parties, and deleted when you delete your account.
Purchase data. City unlocks and the all-access bundle are one-time purchases processed by Apple and verified through RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of what you own but do not see your payment details. We do not store credit card numbers.
What we do not collect

Third-party services
Supabase provides our database and authentication infrastructure. Data is stored on servers in the United States. Supabase's privacy policy is at supabase.com/privacy.
RevenueCat processes in-app purchase verification. RevenueCat's privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Anthropic provides the AI that powers our guide narrations. Your questions and landmark context are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy is at anthropic.com/privacy. Per Anthropic's API terms, your data is not used to train their models.
ElevenLabs converts the guide's narration text into spoken audio. The narration text is sent to ElevenLabs to generate the voice; it is not used to identify you and is not used to train their models per their API terms. ElevenLabs' privacy policy is at elevenlabs.io/privacy.
Data retention
Your account data and conversation history are retained until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
Children
Guia AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
